caps lock reverse

Hi all. Here is a solution that I got from another JAWS list for the caps
lock reverse problem which some of us have had with some applications. I
tried it and it seems to work. One thing it does do when you turn toggle
keys on as specified in the message, caps lock on emits a brief high beep,
caps lock off emits a brief low beep. I don't know yet if you can turn the
beeps off, but the caps seem to be finally straight.

I used to get this problem but haven't had it for a while. To get round it
I switch on 'Toggle Keys' from the Accessibility option in Control Panel.
This gives me an audible prompt as to whether Caps/Num/Scroll locks are on
or off.

Hello, I've been on for a while but haven't had anything to say but am going
to try answering this question.
Keith, it seems to be related possibly to system resources getting low after
you have been using your computer for a while. Although I must say it
hasn't happened here for some time in fact I don't recall if it was before
JAWS 5.0 or not.

Dear all,
I sometimes get a problem with the caps lock key reversing its function. In
other words to type in small letters, I have to put the caps lock key, to
on. Although I am currently using Jaws 5, this problem isn't Jaws version
specific, as it happened in earlier versions.
I've no idea what I am doing to cause this problem, but the only solution I
have found so far is to reboot the machine.
Does anyone please have an answer, as to why this is happening? I guess I
might have to put it down to my keyboard dexterity, and poor old Jaws not
keeping up. But I'd be interested to hear from anyone.
