I hear there are some programs available that will do this for you, convert pdf
files to text files. It may be available in open book or k1000, but I am not
sure. I have also read a web page where such a file transformer is available
for less than $100. I will see if I can find it and report back. I am sure
somebody here knows the answer. In fact there use to be a web site where you
could send a file via an email attachment that is in pdf format, and supposedly
they will convert it for you and send it back to you, but I never had any luck
using that site or email address. Maybe someone else had better luck than I.

I don't know how to read PDF files and I see them a lot when trying to
research something on the Web. Even my daughters' school calendar is now set
up that way so I can't read it. I am using jaws 7 and 6.20 depending, and XP
home. Is there a way to convert PDF documents to plain text so I can use
normal Jaws commands? If not, is there some sort of Adobe or PDF tutorial
available? Thanks.
