Hi on the jfwlite programs page, there's a program called, alarm 95, it may just do what your looking for. Alarm 95. It is very straightforward, you basically hit enter four times, and then you can close the open folders with alt f4. One of the questions asks if you want to place the program in your start up folder, that way it will always be running when you boot your machine, the program has to be running to let you know about scheduled events when they occur. If you go into View (alt v) from your menu bar, then O for options, you can check it "start minimized" and "auto minimize after alarm". After you first install it, you can start it by going to your start menu, programs, it will be under the Parsons technology menu, alarm 95. Once you have it installed and have it running, Press control N to add a new alarm, you can select a date, time, and description for the appointment. To set a recurring alarm, after you do a control N for a new alarm, after you set up the date and time, for example if you set up an alarm today to go off tomorrow September 28th at 12 pm, then tab to the recurring button and press enter. Then tab once and you will be on the daily field, if you arrow up and down you will have radio buttons for daily, weekly, monthly, yearly. So after you have tabbed once and you are on daily, arrow down to monthly. Then tab once and you will be where you can set various options for a monthly event. When you first tabbed over from the monthly radio button, you will be in a field where you can set it for every so many months, leave that at one, for once a month. If you tab one more time you are at a radio button that is default checked to allow you to specify something like the first Monday of each month. But what you want to do, is arrow up once and you will have set a radio button that if you tab once, will let you enter a specific date, for example the 28th. -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
