Ray this is exactly how I learned the computer, mostly on my own but I did
go to the list in the beginning to get started.

It's just a matter of being mostly self taught and being willing to play, a
little. IF you don't poke around a little, (and make a mistake every now
and again) most likely, you'll never make progress. Essentially, play and
learn at the same time. Try stuff. Experiment. Have fun. Learn to
control it; and, stop letting it control you. Remember, it's just a dumb
box that, you hope, does what you tell it to do. It aint gonna blow up if
you press the wrong button...oops, shouldn't have press that one and now the
counter's telling me I only have ten seconds; NOT!!! Like I said, have fun.
Play. consult the help when you get stuck. Make that dumb box obey you.
Always remember this. It aint nothin' but a dumb stupid box and it aint
gonna hurt ya. IF you really mess up, well, there's the Windows XP
unattended installation kit we've talked so much about. Heck, if worse
comes to worse, well, you can rely on it if you have to. It saved me at
least $60.00 already.

Sincerely Yours,

The Constantly BAREFOOTED
Ray

Okay, Barefoot, I did all of this before you even suggested it but do you
know a little secret??? I just got lucky and did it by chance, not because I
had any idea I knew what I was doing. Nevertheless, that first part of the
information from AVG on their footer message means the world to me right
now, after how crazy I drove a couple of very savvy computer specialists
today. <smile>
Can you tell me something? How do you and so many on this list know so
much about everything when it comes to computers and our dear JAWS? think
I'll have to live 3 lifetimes to catch up with all of you... <smile>
Pleasant week end!
