It is a long time since I had dial-up on any of my computers but I did =
have a hot key set up I think I used ALT-CTRL-D to link to the dialler =
then just tab to disconnect and hit enter.

Seems to me though that there is a context menu from within Outlook =
Express and maybe Internet Explorer to, maybe the Windows Logo Key =
brought it up and you can down arrow to the disconnect.

I wish I could remember where you can select the auto disconnect option, =
I believe it is available from within Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet =
Options then select the dial-up connection you are using and one of the =
tabs in there has an auto disconnect option which hangs up the phone =
when you shut down the programme or finish an e-mail download. I do =
remember having to look around for it to change it after original set-up =
which probably means that it was an option selected when originally =
setting up the connection. It isn't present when you don't have a =
dial-up installed and so I can't look it up for you but go have a poke =
around in those Internet connections options in tools/options.

Subject: auto disconnect

> I'm getting the feeling that I'm the only one in the world that still =
uses dial up internet service. My problem is that when I want to leave =
the web and return to the desk top auto disconnect is not selected =
allowing me to just tab and disconnect. I go into window lists where =
jaws tells me, "auto disconnect restored." Is there a way to get the =
computer to highlight auto disconnect so that all I have to do is tab to =
disconnect? Judith
