Tom,

Not sure why that's happening. Is it possible that you have the same
keystroke assigned to that Icon, as well?

I suggest you download a copy of Hot Key Detective from www.jfwlite.com and
install/run it. It will give you a list of all the shortcuts you've assigned
and where they belong.

Dave

Ok, I got the notepad shortcut to stay using Gary's suggestion of just
putting the letter N, and hitting enter.

Now, though, something even more weird happens.

Jaws says the alt control N shortcut is for notepad, but when I use alt
control N, I automatically end up at the "my computer" icon on the desk top.

How weird!

Anyone know how I can resolve this one?

Tom,
Since Alt and Control are automatically added, just type n into the shortcut
field and press Enter. For Some reason, pressing Tab to get to the OK
button can destroy the shortcut.
