Go to AVG, click on Control center.
On the list box, down arrow to email scanning. Tab to configure and click
it. Tab to scan outgoing messages and uncheck it.

In AVG You might try turning outgoing e-mail check off to see if this makes
a difference.

Hi Yardbird,
The only thing that makes me think AVG is causing it is that although this
did happen occasionally before installing AVG, it happens the majority of
the time now. It could be a coincidence but I'm just not sure.

Troy,
Is there anything in that message that makes you believe it's generated by
AVG? Or that it's a response to an AVG action? I've been using AVG Free
Edition for several years, and use Outlook Express as my email client, and
have had this arrangement on two different computers with two different
versions of Windows, to versions of OE, and several versions of AVG, and
haven't had such a problem, at all.

Hi All,
Since starting to use AVG free edition, I have noticed that when I send
e-mail from Outlook Express that quite often, a couple of minutes or so
after the message is sent a dialogue will pop up saying that there were some
errors when I tried to send the message. The funny thing is that the
message still gets sent though. I never had this before installing AVG, is
there a setting somewhere that I need to change so that I'll quit getting
that dialogue box since the messages are getting sent?

Thanks.
Troy
