I would think you would have to reinstall it. I don't use reader much, but that's what I'd do. ----- Original Message ----- From: Stephen Faill To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, August 11, 2006 9:08 AM Subject: Re: acrobat reader and jfw yes i had that option but just used the recommended settings - is there a way to get back into that setting? or is it just a case of re installing the program? stephen ----- Original Message ----- From: Patricia To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, August 11, 2006 5:06 PM Subject: Re: acrobat reader and jfw I think you can set up Acrobot to be more friendly with screen readers when you install it. it's not that great, but it helps, if only a bit. did you have that option presented to you? ----- Original Message ----- From: Stephen Faill To: Jaws mailing list Sent: Friday, August 11, 2006 4:25 AM Subject: acrobat reader and jfw hello list. i recently installed adobe acrobat reader 7 and haven't made any changes to settings in it. this is the first time i have used an acrobat reader so am unsure exactly what i am doing. when i open up a pdf file a dialogue box appears saying that the file is untagged. i have various options and i keep them at the recommended ones and then hit enter on start. the document duly loads up and using my control key plus page up and down i can read the content. or so it seems. after the first page finishes i press control page down and it start to read the next, but it is as ifjaws has missed a section or paragraph of text as the second page doesn't seem to follow on from the first. now, are there any settings that i should change to let jaws work a little better with this version of acrobat reader or maybe i have missed a keystroke for the general reading of the document. all help is appreciated. stephen
