Frank,

You may want to direct this question on the blindtech list.

To subscribe, send a blank message to:

blindtech-subscribe@xxxxxxxxx

If that subscription address is incorrect, hopefully someone will correct
me.

Without making any judgements, the three notetakers I'm aware of are the
PACMate (made by Freedom Scientific), the Elba (who I believe is made by
Papenmier) and the BrailleNote (made by Pulsedata). Visuade will be coming
out with a notetaker of their own, but I don't know any more than
that...sorry!

Hope this helps!

Lisa

Subject: about note takers

Hi all

I'm going to be buying a note taker with a braille display and definitely a
querty keyboard, I type really really fast!
anyway I've looked at the note takers available from freedom and pulse data
and I admit I am at a loss as to where my best bet lies.
if any of you have any experience with these things please let me know
anything you have to say on the subject, what you like don't like what
problems and strengths they have and if in fact there are any braille note
takers made by any other companies that I don't know of yet!
these things cost an awful lot of money and this is coming out of my pocket
so I want to make the best informed choice I can!
since this is kind of off topic for this list I'd be happy if you'd send me
your responses to
fitzy@xxxxxxxxxxxx

and thanks in advance!
frank
