Most of the crashes I get with ie I can attribute to a poorly maintained
website. When you say jaws crashes, when? 6.1 does have a feature to turn off
stylesheets which may fix your problems with some web content. If you don't think
it is the website and that it is jaws, go to a simple site likewww.google.com or
the freedomscientific site and see if the problem happens. Sometimes the
connection is slow because of the server, and you think jaws has crashed when it
hasn't.

Subject: about 6.1 download

Hi,
I am still using Windows 98 se, and Jaws 6.0.

Overall, Jaws 6 has been working fine, with the exception that I do have
Jaws crashing, most especially when in Outlook Express or IE.

I queried tech support and they recommended downloading Jaws 6.1, or
modifying something in msconfig.

Since I am on dial up, and know that is a pretty large download, before I
take that step, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue,
and if it was, in fact, improved with version 6.1?

Thanks.
Crystal
