a very strange problem with jaws8

Dear friends,
Let me share a strange problem I've been having with jaws8.
I need all the help i can to try to nip this in the bud.
jaws seems to freeze after a certain amount of time spent on outlook
express.
i don't know why, but I will totally lose speech and whenever i try to hit
the windows key followed by the u and then the alt+u to shut down it won't
let me do it without having me to power it off.
I haven't experienced it with jaws 7.0 at all. I have with 7.10 though.
can someone give me advice on maybe what to do?
