I didn't think so either, so I thought I'd try it before sticking my neck
out.
In a Word document, I wrote the sentence
I love New York is a great guy.
I then created an entry in the dictionary to change
I love New York
to
Bruce

I don't think you can replace a phrase with a word. I mean you'd have to assign a new word for each old one if that makes sense.

Hi Troy, The best thing to do, is go back to the dictionary manager, and closely study the changes you made. The answer is probably in your modifications. Hi All, Some of you know that I play games on the AllInPlay web site. I have tried to enter some of the nicknames used on the site into the Jaws dictionary so that I can change them to something else because the name is either annoying or too long, but I'm running into a problem with names that are two or more words because I put the entire name in and replace it with just one word, but after I exit the dictionary and save my changes, from then on Jaws says y whenever it sees a space on any web site that I go to. Is there any way to solve this problem? This occurs in Jaws 6.0 6.1 and 6.2, I haven't tried it in 7.0 because for one thing I'm not even using 7.0 and I doubt that it would make a difference anyway.
Thanks in advance for any solutions to this problem. Troy
