My first screen reader was K-Talker on a K-pro computer using CPM, and an
external echo synth. The word processor was WordStar and I mostly did
access with that computer using the Optacon.

My first DOS screen reader was VideoVoice with the Echo, then Soft Vert and
finally ASAP. I started Windows with ASAW but when it did not offer much in
Word support I moved to Jaws in the fall of 1998. Since then it has been
mostly Jaws with some use of Samobile for some tasks and a couple of demos
of Window Eyes. Even after ten years I occasionally forget and use n ASAP
command on my number keypad, happens when I am really tired. If you were to
ask me which one, I could not tell you but when Jaws starts doing weird
things I usually know what I did subconsciously.

Jaws 2.0 with Windows ME on a Dell in 2001. And that Dell never crashed
like this E3100 does.
