I had this problem and ended up doing a system restore and running my antivirus program to get rid of it. I have one here too and can't seem to rid myself of it. These things hide in a variety of ways but in my case it seems to be something that starts up when booting, changes the registry before spybot comes up. When I change the home page address once the computer is running Spybot notifies me that a registry entry has been changed and asks to permit the change, obviously the hijacker doesn't trigger spybot when it makes the change. I can delete the entry which, in my case appears to be MSN directly in the registry using regedit but again, next time I boot the registry is changed. Get out there and begin Web surfing, try hijacker in your browser query. I have been trolling the Web with google and attempting all sorts of stuff but without success. I will admit that I worry a bit about some of the offered downloads particularly many of those which come up as sponsored links on google, it is my experience that people who pay to offer help expect and will get paid far more in exchange but maybe I am too skeptical. Spybot and AVG have not been able to help me and neither have a half dozen other efforts so far. Good luck.
