I believe the security center is more than the firewall. I think it checks to make sure that you have some sort of firewall running, and notifies you if you don't. I think it also checks to make sure you have some sort of antivirus running, and that it's up to date, and notifies you if you don't or it's not. I don't think I'd automatically get rid of it. =20 > -----Original Message----- > From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 > [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of dennis > Sent: Friday, August 27, 2004 9:06 AM > To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: XP-SP2 >=20 > hi go into control pannel and turn off the firewall. its=20 > under windows firewall. just press enter on it and arrow down=20 > to uncheck the box that runs the firewall. that should get=20 > rid of it. make sure you're running some type of fire wall though. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Clark Friedrichs" <1clark@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: "JAWS Mailing List" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Thursday, August 26, 2004 6:40 PM > Subject: XP-SP2 >=20 >=20 > >I down loaded and installed it last evening.
