To add to this, and it is probably off topic, maybe someone would consider a
more general blindness related announcement list to include announcements on
products, patches, maybe scripts, .SET files if that is the correct
terminology for WindowEyes, other software like K1000 and OpenBook, hardware
and software products and upgrades.

Can there be so many things coming out that such an announcement list might
be practical yet still relatively low volume even including news in the
Linux world, cell phone technology, new talking products. Surely there
wouldn't be more than a few items a month although the person collating and
tracking down such items might get a lot of e-mail.

It is a grand idea Bruce and there are some vendors who do precisely this as
a marketing tool directly to those consumers most likely to be interested.

Subject: Would Someone Consider an Announcements List?

Is there anyone who would be willing to undertake an announcements-only
JFW list? I am going to go nomail for a time, and was thinking that if
there were just an announcements list available for those of us who for
whatever reason don't want to be part of the discussion list, and who
don't like checking the FS web site every day but still want to be kept
advised of any new version/beta of JAWS?
