Hi Ann,
FYI, I find redirecting the output in dos to a txt file by using the
greater than sign and the path and filename to which to put the results,
very helpful. For example:
dir > c:\temp\dir.txt
And then you can go to the c:\temp\dir.txt file and use windows / jaws to
read the results of the dir command.
I also like to do this with the /? Switch to get the format of commands.
Like:
Format /? > c:\temp\FormatHelp.txt

Hello Ann,
The older version of Doss will offer more features, but it will also require
an external speech synthesizer. Depending on what the student requires, the
JFD would also run better if there is some method of running a memory
management program.
Just curious, what DOS application is needed?
I still have JFD running on an older 486 PC with an Accent PC speech synth.

Remember JAWS for DOS? My student is working with some DOS programs and
windows XP. Will JAWS11 be enough DOS? Would it help for him to load the
old JAWS for DOS?
When I have used DOS from windows, as I recall you read with the JAWS
cursor, then enter on the command line? Yes??? No???
