Yes the office plug in can also affect word XP. It's in the Norton options. Go into the options and find the miscellaneous link and space bar or left click on it. Then tab and uncheck enable office plug in. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cher Bosch" <Cher.Bosch@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2004 2:00 PM Subject: WordXP&NortonConflict? Dear All- Is Word XP affected by that old Norton conflict with the Office plug-in? I thought this was supposed to be limited to earlier versions of Word. One of my students talked with tech support yesterday and they cited a TSN about that. I can only find a TSN describing the problem when opening files from windows explorer- which is not the case with this student. Can anyone offer any enlightenment? Thanks. The student was using 5.847 without problems, but after installing SP2 and 5.10 suddenly Word docs are read as blank by the PC cursor.
