Ilene, Did you maximize your window? Another tip that might not make sense but sometimes works for me is to alt tab while the document is open. Chances are, if nothing else is open on your screen, is that you will get jaws on the screen. Alt tab again and see what happens. Subject: Word document and JAWS

I had a book e mailed to me. I opened it in Word and changed the view
to 'normal'. I then attempted to read it with JFW but all that was read
was the page number. I then copied and pasted it into TextPad, but
nothing was copied. It appears to me that the entire book must be a
picture or something that JFW cannot read.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to make this book
be accessible?

I am using Word 2000 and JFW version 7.

Thanks,

Eileen La Fond
