I use Defender as part of Windows Live One Care. It does not need
scripts. The only clue I have to its effectiveness is that I still use
AdAware, and it still catches a lot of critical and negligible files.

  Hello,
Does anyone know if Windows Defender is a good spyware program and if
it needs scripting. If it does need scripting are there any scripts
currently available?
  Take care,
  John
