Hi Steve,
Here you go, hope this helps.

Press ctrl P for preferences. Go to your wave out pluggin in the output
pluggins section, and tab to the configure button. Once inside the
configuration window, tab until you hear alt setting mode. Make sure
this is checked. Tab to the volume control button, and make sure this is
checked. Tab to the ok button, and tap your space bar. Tab to the close
button, and you are done.
