OK, this might be making some sacrifices, but here goes:
Go into preferences (CTRL+P). In the tree view, choose plugins, then
input. In the list view, set the input plugin to Nullsoft MPEG audio
decoder. Now go back to the tree view and down arrow once to output. Set
the output plugin to direct sound output.
