Hi Pranav,

I finally could find one much less user-friendly sniffer since its
command line is quite hard to figure out but since it works in text
mode, it's quite useable in a commannd-prompt window.

This piece of software is called TCP Dump but I don't know where to
download it from. The problem is that, while trying to install a recent
version of Ethereal on my windows system, I noticed that a security
problem prevents me from starting the WinPCap service. Since TCP Dump
also needs WinPCap in order to capture network packets, TCP Dump is not
useable on my windows computer.

I then could find a solution with my other linux platform but since TCP
Dump was bundled with my linux distribution, I didn't even try to find
where else to download it. Sorry about this.

HTH. Have a nice day. Chris

Hi Christophe,

I see that we are looking for the same product. ethereal is out of
bounds since it he uses the GTK. I will let you know if I find anything.
