Here's three ways to do it:
Using the Word 2003 keystrokes Alt, a, c, r
Using the Word 2007 keytips Alt, jl, k, r
Using the Word 2007 ribbon Alt, LeftArrow to Layout, Tab to Select,
DownArrow to Select Row, Enter.

There are pros and cons to each of them, but they should all allow you
to do what you need.

Hello Everyone,
I am using a PC with XP Professional and Microsoft Office Suite 2007,
and I am trying to select a row in Word to merge the cells. I used to go
into the table menu in Word 2003 to select the row, but I can't find
this feature now. Does anyone know how to do this with the keyboard, as
I am totally blind and can't really use the mouse to select the row.
