Alan,

What color, why "Scarlet Ribbons" of course! Did you need to ask?

  Hello Rik and Friends,
I am in the exact boat!

Oh why, Oh why did Microsoft have to do that to us?
Just so sighted folks could have some pretty ribbons?
What color are the Ribbons anyway?
  LOL!

Well, I have gotten a lot out of this thread also, so Thanks!

  With Best Regards,

    Thanks.
I do have the ribbons feature in my version 12 of JAWS.
I am just missing the simplicity of the keyboard shortcuts that I knew in
the old version of WLM.

I have to get it figured out the pathways to my usual commands. Knowing
whether to TAB or go up arrrow, right arrow, left arrow, etc.

And then, sometimes I guess I need to hit ENTER on some of it, too.

I just do not know what to do when. And by the time I fool with it and get
what I want to do, heck if I am smart enough to remember all of that pathway
the next time!

I do have the JAWS training materials, and have worked with it some. I
will need to go and review it again.

Someone answered this post with an extensive Microsoft links to the
shortcuts for this and other programs.
So I will try and get the ones I need and try them.

I guess ribbons must be here to stay, huh?
So, I will do my best to get smarter.

    Thanks.
    Rik

you need jaws 12 and its virtual ribbons, or you can find applications on
the web that will replace the ribbons with menu's for about 30 to 50 dollars

I have been trying to deal with the ribbons in WLM 11 with my Windows 7
home premium system, using JFW 12, latest update.

Does anyone know where to get the keyboard shortcuts, so I can quit
wasting so much time going left, right, up and down and getting nowhere with
the ribbons?

Things I used to get under Tools and Format and Insert under the old menu
structure, they just keep confusing me using the ribbons.

I will say that JAWS seems to speak okay with these ribbons. It is just
that I do not understand where to go!

      Thanks for any help.
      Rik
