No you must have at least one sma remaining to go from eight to nice to use
vista. If you have no sma counts remaining then installing on vista will
run as a demo. Dum I know but there it is.

Now I am confused, if my upgrade or SMA takes me to version 8.0.2173 and its
compatible with Vista isn't just a matter of me installing it and my license
will be accepted??

It's fine but since 8.0 is your final SMA FS will not allow you to use jaws
8 and Vista. You will have to purchase an additional SMA. This is a new
spin FS introduced with VIsta.

If 8.0 is your last SMA your out of luck as you woun't be able to run 8.0
with Vista. 8.0.2173 is the Version that is Vista compatable.

You'll have to purchase an SMA in order to be able to use Vista and Jaws
there. you can have anything that says Vista home with your license level.

Subject: Vista and Jaws 8

Heya List,

Is Jaws 800.217 fully compatible with Vista? and what version of Vista as
there's so many around Basic, business etc?. As I'm wanting to buy a laptop
or notebook and am only licensed for XP Home and this is my last upgrade of
Jaws.

Cheers,

Jim
