Barbara, I had no idea that Reflections was still around. Is that the reason your employer wants you to switch to Vista? Again point out the risk they are taking to install an already discontinued operating system that will fall off the support offerings. In fact, XP was going to be discontinued, but due to problems with Vista MS kept XP available much longer than planned, in order to allow migration from XP to the eventual Windows 7. Have you looked at the Microsoft web site to see if you can find any data on when Vista support will cease, or when it was replaced by Windows 7? If so, share that data with your employer. Hello Everyone, My employer is "making" me go to VISTA from XP. Windows 7 has not been approved for use in our office. (Don't get me started on explaining why not!) Can anyone provide some valid reasons to use VISTA or to not use VISTA? I am currently on JAWS 10 and have no more SMA left, so there may be the need to purchase a newer version. Is it known if Freedom Scientific is going to continue to support Vista? I plan to call and get their input Monday. I just learned about this switch before I left work, so I didn't get time to call them this evening. I am a computer programmer. I use 3270 terminal emulation with Reflections 11 as the emulator. They will be setting me up with VPN for Remote Access. I need to access a lot of WORD, a bit of EXCEL, Outlook and the Internet for my job. Thanks for any support and feedback you can provide.
