ah! You were thinking of the list archives! See, I was only thinking of Jaws
Help, and wasn't prepared for you to be advising me to try something that
might turn up earlier threads in the JFW list. That wasn't even on my mind.
Now, you might've mentioned what you were thinking, but, ahem. The laconic,
at least, is not excessive, shall we say, if to avoid overexplanation is the
fvvirtue sought.... :-)
Carry on, then.

Google provides access to this list and can target messages on specific
topics of interest. You mentioned that you recalled reading about this
subject in a previous thread, and I was merely recommending how to find your
way back to it.

Hi Adrian,

I'm not sure why you say this. Because it has only to do with Jaws, and if
there's no topic entry for it in Jaws help, then it's not as if you're going
to find a tutorial on using the function on some blind hacker's Web site in
Budapest or something, yes? So I'm going to go with what Jerry suggests,
which is to assume that normal operations work on these otherwise
untouchable areas once you virtualize them and render them vulnerable. I'll
see if that works. Tried it out a long time ago, and thought it was handy to
know, then forgot how to do it, and don't want to forget. Might come in
handy.

Hi Allen,

Thanks for reminding me of the keystroke, but I can't remember the rest of
the technique. I can't remember what you do after that. That is why I would
like to know where this topic is referenced in the Jaws help.

thanks again.

Hi,

Some time ago, someone here explained how you can virtualize a portion of
what's on your screen that you ordinarily couldn't select and copy, in order
to do that. But I've forgotten the technique, even though I tried it out a
few times back then. I'd love to be able to review this procedure. Does
anyone know if there's a reference to it in the Jaws Help and, if so, under
which book and topic?

Thanks.
