Hallelujah! Windows key + d works like a charm. Thanks to everyone for your help. Ciao, Ron. -----Original Message----- Hi everyone, Sorry if this is very elementary. When I first boot up or come back to the desktop after running an application, the system cursor has no focus. My workaround for this is to activate the Jaws cursor, go to previous word which lands it on one of the icons. I then move the system cursor to the Jaws cursor and then type the letter of the icon I want (using Tab if there is more than one icon with the same initial letter. At this stage the system cursor is in focus and I can tab to start, task bar etc. There must be a simpler way to give the system cursor focus and I would be grateful if someone showed me.
