When I haven't been able to get them going, I run the detect sappy 4
utility. It's under the Jaws menue, language, change synthesizer option.
It takes awhile to run its course and sometimes it seems like a freeze.
After I've restarted, they are there. I know this doesn't seem logical
but it works.

I submit that the problem is with JAWS because when I use Kate and Paul
in
an application like APH's MoneyTalks, in which I put JAWS to sleep, Kate
and
Paul work perfectly fine.
If you have an answer to this JAWS problem let me know and I will do
likewise.
