Alan:

Before Brand can do any of the things you suggest, Brand will first have to
load the "DEFAULT.JCF" file, so as to make your suggestions work globally with
JAWS.

The short cut keystroke for loading the DEFAULT.JCF file is, CTRL+SHIFT+D.

Sincerely:

Dave Durber

  Brandt,

Someone suggested that you switch your JAWS keyboard layout to laptop so the
insert key would act like it was held down. That is not what you want to do,
and will only create more problems for you when typing, because the laptop
keyboard commands are quite different from the desktop layout.

You need to go into the JAWS configuration manager, and under the "set
options" menu, select user options. Tab until you land on a check-box that says
use insert key, and check it.

Then go back in the set options menu in JAWS config manager, and select the
keyboard options. Tab through the "General" of this multitab window and put a
check in the three check-boxes that say something about the insert key.
Save the config settings before you exit the JAWS config manager.

Now when you need to press a multiple key combo that includes the insert key,
it should hold down your insert key.

  Alan
