Yse, "uninstall" means the same thing as "remove". But FS recommends
against it, pointing out, quite rightly, that it's not going to hurt
anything.

Actually, the Sentinel driver is the driver for dongles. If you do not have a dongle, feel free to remove it.

The Sentinel driver is a network-related driver which I don't know much about, but I think it's used with Citrix and for remote-terminal situations. To those more knowledgeable about this, please feel free to enlighten us.

I had problems with the merge when the first official version of 7.1 came out. I encountered focusing issues in Internet Explorer and Winamp. I'd suggest downloading the current version of 7.1, but don't use the merge. Then un-install 7.0. It would also be a good idea to remove the Sentinel system driver, unless you need it. I've found that Jaws loads more quickly without the Sentinel driver installed.
