I believe you made several mistakes here. There are at least 2, possibly 3,
versions of jaws that will work with msn messenger 6.2, and unless I'm
mistaken windows 2000. The versions of jaws that will work with msn
messenger 6.2 are of course jaws 6.0, 5.1, and if I'm not mistaken jaws
5.00.844, that latest release of jaws 5.0. You are correct in saying that
msn messenger won't work on windows 9X or NT4, but I think it will run on
both xp and 2000 just fine with the versions of jaws I mentioned.

As Jack rightly pointed out, you need JAWS 6.0 to work with msn messenger
6.2, no 2 ways about it.
But the key thing here is that you also need Windows xp to make JAWS 6 work
with msn 6.2. So here's the winning combination, now everyone pay
attention so we don't have to go through this 50 more times, please. MSN
Messenger 6.2 and JAWS 6.0 under windows xp.
That is the *only* way to make msn messenger work with JAWS.
So upgrading a version of 5 isn't going to do it. Also it's *very*
important to mention that the quella version, not the ILM! but the Quella
version of JAWS 6.0 that was released back in December is the one that
will time out on March 15th.
So, if youdownloaded the quella version back when it was released, wait for
your JAWS cd to arrive in the mail and switch to the ILM authorization
system by inserting your authorization cd, and then installing the ILM
version of JAWS. No settings will be lost if you do this.
