Unicode?

MessageHi people.
I might be taking a linguistics course and would like to know if JAWS can read
special characters like phoenetic transcriptions and different alphabets other
than the Latin alphabet. I heard somewhere that JAWS supported unicode, but I
have no idea how to work this. Do I need a special speech synthesizer or should
I be using a braille display? If there is any info on this please point me to
the relevant section(s) in the manual(s).
