You made the correct change.  What letters are you having particular issues
with?  I cannot think of anything that should cause this except maybe you
need to update your video driver.

David, Compose was in fact set on html.  I changed it to plain text but am
still having the problem.  Was that the right change?  The screen is
maximized.  This doesn't happen in every nmessage and it only seem to happen
with certain letters.  John
