try the talking typer from american printing house for the blind. there phone number is: 1-800 223-1839 or to help your friend get started, you might want to tell him or her to do insert with the number 1 on the number row. This will help your friend to get more familear with out doing any thing wrong to the computer. This key stroke is basically to turn the key board help mode on. Perhaps someone on this list can explain more about the key board help feature. Sorry, if my explainations are not clear.
