To degrade your computer's performance, JAWS has to be running. Just
having it installed on your system only takes up hard drive space, not RAM
or other system resources. That having been said, uninstalling the earlier
version will not remove your authorization.

Dear all:
I have two versions in my computer of Jaws. They are Jaws 5.10 and the previous one before i got the upgrade: 5.0
My computer is quite slow and I have been told that Jaws uses a lot of Ram. If I uninstall the first version, will that also get rid of the authorization? Or can I keep using the latter version of Jaws while occupaying less ram by doing that?
Would it harm Jaw's performance if i take the first version off?
Cheers. Andrew.
