Hello. I suspect that your students license only supports the standard version of Jaws for Windows. The standard version of Jaws for Windows will only run as a demo on a professional operating system. Some professional operating systems are Windows Vista business, Windows Vista ultimate, Windows XP professional, and Windows XP media Center edition. I hope this helps. There are two issues happening with it, and they are both JAWS related. She was first using JAWS 9 but has recently upgraded to version 10. The first issue is that even though the program has been authorized, it still goes back to running in demo mode. All of the settings have been checked, and everything seems fine, but we can't get out of that demo mode even with the authorization. Secondly, JAWS stutters quite a bit. This is confusing for the person using it because sometimes, she's not sure if she's made an error or if it's JAWS just acting up. It was doing the same thing with the previous version as well. Does anyone have any ideas? Jim
