Alan,
I found that problem after I changed to a laptop. Found I was
occasionally hitting the 'mute' button instead of the power button, or by
just occasionally by getting disoriented on the keyboard. Have a sighted
person show you where the 'mute' button is, and perhaps this can help you,
as it did me.
Rod

Subject: Turning on a muted sound system

Hello all,
On occasion my sound system is muted. I then need to have a sighted person
to go to my desktop task bar and turn my sound system back on.

What commands do I need to perform this task by myself?

Thanks,

Alan
