Hi,

Unfortunately the trend on the new laptop/notebook etc seems to be all kinds
of handy buttons to control many, many things.

My HP Pavilion has 2 or 3 very dangerous keys just below the screen and you
do not even have to actually touch the blamed things to cause them to work.

Mute and wireless are two of them.

Of course, HP did think of convenience because there is a little blue light
which tells you that the wireless is on. (ROFLROFLROFL)

Keep that sighted wife around, they can be useful as well as ornamental.

Rob,

Exactly my problem, as well. Caused me no end of frustration until I decided
to mark the button. Also there is a Fn Key + combination on my laptop that
will do the same.

Alan,

I found that problem after I changed to a laptop. Found I was
occasionally hitting the 'mute' button instead of the power button, or by
just occasionally by getting disoriented on the keyboard. Have a sighted
person show you where the 'mute' button is, and perhaps this can help you,
as it did me.

Hello all,

On occasion my sound system is muted. I then need to have a sighted person
to go to my desktop task bar and turn my sound system back on.

What commands do I need to perform this task by myself?

Thanks,

Alan
