I thought I had it fixed but I was wrong. I had the memory battery
replaced today and reset the time but when I shut the computer down for
several minutes and reboot the date and time has changed. Also, jaws comes
up without windows and I have no control with the keyboard. My wife can
reset the date and time and everything is fine until I shutdown and reboot
again. I am baffeled. I am open to any suggestions before I take the
computer to a technician.

W4HC, I think it was your clock. Yesterday I happened to read your post, and
then hit alt regular number 2. This is a jaws script for Outlook Express
designed to read the date on the incoming message, your date read Thursday,
january 1, 1998. But I see you now have it fixed.

Debbie, I am so happy that you are back. Yes, it turned out that I was
having a problem with my authorization and had to get it straightened out
with Freedom Scientific. Hopefully, everything is OK now.

How often does it come up? I don't think it has anything to do with the
FS
reader. You are authorized, right?
Yes so am I and most of the other people I hear talk about this, smile.
But every once in awhile jaws will say it is running in demo mode.
I will do another search on the FS knowledge base and see if they have
posted anything about this yet.
Or are you saying it happens every forty minutes? That would mean you
aren't authorized correctly and might need to authorize jaws again.

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where to turn off the FS demo forty minute mode. I have never used the forty minute mode but it keeps coming up. I have gone through jaws and found the FS demo reader but I can't find how to turn it off. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am using windows xp sp-2 and jaws 7.0.
Best wishes,
FRED W4HC
