No, because it's a feature rather than a bug as far as I can tell.  If you 
need to bypass the folder, move away from it quickly, before it has time to 
move to the folder itself, or let it move and SHIFT+TAB once. 
Alternatively, press CTRL+Y and select a folder that way.
