Hmm, I get that problem with a Tripletalk PCI as well.

Can't test that one, but how nasty!

Maybe FS think that the number of people using hardware synthesizers is low
enough that they can ignore us.
Personally, I do lots of processor-intensive things and can't stand how
software speech puts a drain on the system. I used an Accent synth for over
a decade, so I am very used to extremely responsive speech from dedicated
hardware.

I'm using the latest patch of JFW 5, and a TripleTalk PCI, and I don't get
any increase in pitch for uppercase letters, either when typing or
reviewing. In fact, try typing a string of W's, upper-case and regular. No
difference in pitch, either with key echo on, or when backspacing over them.

Also, I like to have keyboard echo set to words, but changing this in
Verbocity settings for a particular application doesn't stick. Do I need
to save this somehow?

thanks, and sorry for all the questions. Things seem pretty flaky when it
comes to the behavior of my TripleTalk though.
