Question from someone who's burned a few music CDs at the highest speed
allowed by his computer system and the blank disc: I have a very critical
ear for music, and every CD I've burned as fast as permitted has been
accurate and listenable in every way, with no distortion or skips or
whatever is supposed to be the negative consequence in the case of a bad
burn process. So, I'm assuming that if the result sounds fine, you've done
right. I never heard or read anything, even on the PC-Audio list when I
subscribed to it for a few months to get educated, about anything like
shallow or deep burns or taking precautions not to use as high a speed as
would work. And if a setting audibly works, in what sense could it be
faulty?

Thanks.

Hi Moti,
Always burn at the slowest speed, supported by your burner, and media.
This will help assure a quality burn.
Save higher speeds for data retreival.

Subject: The recommended speed of burning cd

Hi friends,

I'm using winxp professional, with a new pc, Jaws 7.0.
My question: What is the best or the recommended speed to burn cd?
I'm using Nero 6, ultra edition.
I find there speed from 10x to 40x.

Thanks much for any help.

Moti
