John, I did what I was told to do, down arrowed to Windows Classic andtabbed straight to O K. The unforseen happened. The theme X P ( modified) or otherwise is no longer in the themes list and going through the Windows X P C D and 5 hours of trying other stuff does not find it as it is gone. This is simple bad luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Miller" <n1umj@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, March 19, 2005 2:50 PM Subject: Re: The issue: No reset back to " XP Modified" now having chosen "Windows Classic" > I've already tried it, no problems at all. believe it or not. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <ptusing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Saturday, March 19, 2005 2:42 PM > Subject: The issue: No reset back to " XP Modified" now having chosen > "Windows Classic" > > > The unfortunate choice of the theme of Windows classic has left the > situation as follows: > no one here has been able to change the theme back to X P modified and I > will be seeking out some one who can > recover the XP Modified from an earlier ghosted version to return to > previous settings. > I bet that won't happen to any one else so to prevent it, I mention the > illadvised setting. > At first I had thought i had been given the right info but I inquired > and > got many replies saying otherwise. > I do not believethat Service Pack 2 > would be a sufficient reason for using a non standard theme. > It was just simple bad luck which does happen in life although this will > cost me money > which is why hopefully, no one else tries it. > > -- > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to > jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw > > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or > the > way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
