    Henk

Leslie suggested that we must use the Jaws cursor to check out the progress
of the conversion from text to MP3 file.

I have not tried it out in TextAloud as such, but I am using this method
frequently in other applications. There it works fine.

Shall let you know as soon as I have tried out Leslie's "solution".

        Henk

Unfortunately Jaws 8 also does not provide this information.

I am working on a laptop and can hear the hard disc "working" while
converting the text into the MP3 file. Once the hard disc becomes "silent" I
"assume" the process is complete.

          Hello back Renette

Thanks for replying to my e-mail so soon. I think I need scripts
because I have done the conversion of different text to mp3 format using the
speak to file menu selection on the speak menu, a couple of times and during
the conversion process Jaws does not say anything to let you know that the
conversion process is actually taking place or how much percentage wise is left
to convert. If jaws spoke to tell me something to confirm that the conversion
process has started or tells the percentage number that has ben converted thus
far, I would know for sure that the conversion is being done successfully and/
or how much is left to convert, this way I will know when the conversion
process to mp3 is complete. I am using jfw7. Does jfw8 tell you these things
that I have mentioned in this e-mail that I would like to hear during the
conversion process to mp3 format? If you can please get back to me when it is
good for you, I would be much appreciative. Thanks.

          Happy surfing

            Hi Henk

Yesterday I have downloaded the 20 dayjtrial version of TextAloud.

Just as a matter of interest: why do you need scripts? I am using
Jaws 8 and managed just fine without scripts.

              Hello

Does anyone know where I can possibly get some Jfw7 scripts for
the text to speech program TextAloud2.2? If someone can please help me out to
get ahold of such scripts, I would be very much appreciative. Thanks.
