Hi. I'm pretty sure you mean that he has 512 Megs of ramin stead of 512k?
You'd need much more than 512 k to even run windows. But, I suspect that there are a lot of programs running at startup which may be the reason why JAWS is stuttering. The more programs that run, the more memory is used, which means the less memory available for JAWS to use.

Hello All:

I took a call from a client who is running an E-Machines computer with
Windows XP, JAWS 7.0 and 512K of RAM. He had a situation in January
where he had to restore his computer from the manufacturer's disks.
Ever since this happened, whenever he goes either to a website and tries
entering forms mode or when he uses a program called Media Jukebox to
play music, his JAWS studders. For example, he showed me how it said
"po, po, po, po," in Media Jukebox. I believe the word he was trying to
have it say was "pocket."

I suggested to him he ad more memory to his computer as I thought that
there wasn't enough memory for Windows, JFW and other programs to run.
He has 512K of RAM.

Has anyone heard of this happening and if so, do you have any other
suggestions?

Thanks,
