Spybot and AVG Issue

Hello! I just installed Spybot Search and Destroy and Spybot for Blind
Users, but have no idea really how to configure it. I did check so that for
blind users is in use and both icons appear on my Desktop for what this is
worth. I notice that for the first time I cannot download manually my AVG
updates. It seems to me that the only thing different is Spybot in my
system. Therefore, common sense tells me that Spybot needs to have
something checked or unchecked somewhere.
Please be very specific how I must do this, and thanks for telling me
exactly where and how I can allow AVG to download updates manually with
Spybot in my system. I simply do not understand how this program needs to
be configured even after reading the Helpful Hint on jfw lite home page.
