Dave,I've been out of touch for a few days, so I apologise for being so long in replying. I have been using the key strokes you suggested to read the row and column headings, e.g., alt+1,2,3, and it works. I learned that alt+1 will read the entry in the cell on the first row for the column your cursor is in, and alt+2 will read the entry in the cell on the second row for the column your cursor is in. Likewise control+alt+1 reads the entry in the cell of the first column of the row your cursor is in. This arrangement works great for me. Thanks!.
Danny

I've tried the key strokes indicated alt + 1 etc., alt + Ctrl + 1, etc., alt + ctrl + r and c with no results. Are there any settings under tools and options or somewhere elsethat must be activated, or perhaps, the row and column desired to be spokenas such needs to be marked in some fashion? Thanks! Now, I'm not certain if it's the read title command I need or just a command to read the first cell in both the collumns or rows. Can someone help me with a command for those please? I do a lot of spreadsheets for different things, and sometimes it's simply difficult to remember where I am if I take a break or whatnot. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys.
