I've seen similar behavior out of the creative line of cards, and it was a driver. I had to go back to an older driver and it worked. I was also talking to another user of JAWS beta 10 and the speakers got muted also. ----- Original Message ----- From: Chip Orange To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, October 31, 2008 8:31 AM Subject: RE: Sound goes away I've seen this happen when a crash has occurred, but I know that's little help. After saying "Foreground Win", Narrator goes silent. No wave sounds play even though none of the mute buttons are checked in Volume control, and all sound drivers are installed. I can't install speech until I get this fixed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Dennis Brown
